NDRC is seeking science-inspired start-ups for the next round of its VentureLab accelerator.

VentureLab is targeted at enabling ventures that are commercialising science, tech and intellectual property with high potential for success. NDRC will be making investment decisions in December 2014, and the six month acceleration programme begins in early 2015. Each participating copmany will receive investment of up to €100,000.

NDRC CEO Ben Hurley said: “NDRC VentureLab will benefit anybody who has developed technologies or has engaged in science-based research that has an opportunity to be directed towards a commercial solution. Through our investment and the related programme NDRC provides mentoring, business insight and commercialisation expertise that will progress ventures to a stage where they are investor-ready.

“In particular, NDRC VentureLab is deeply experiential which means that the entrepreneurs and researchers behind science-based ventures receive the necessary guidance to prepare them for market entry.”

Interested ventures are invited to attend an information evening on the programme next Wednesday 22 October at NDRC on Crane Street, Dublin 8 from 5.30pm.
