IronPort will provide Tourism Ireland with protection against e-mail-borne threats which consist of virus attacks, spam, false-positives, denial of service attacks, directory harvest attacks and phishing (fraud) to name but a few.
Tourism Ireland selected IronPort after evaluating a number of competitive products. “We decided to evaluate a number of products in our own environment, this way we could clearly assess which product best suited our needs,” said Frank Carter, systems manager, Tourism Ireland.
After installing IronPort, Tourism Ireland noticed a dramatic decline in the amount of spam its e-mail users were receiving. “By reducing the amount of spam, we have increased the level of protection we can offer to our users.”
“We are delighted that Tourism Ireland is experiencing the benefits of IronPort and we are happy to say its experience is one shared by other Irish organisations that have adopted the product,” said Caoimhe Ní Dhulaing, account manager, Entropy Ltd.
