Kilkenny-based software and business systems development company Mindaclient has secured three new international contracts to manage the application process for one of the most prestigious student scholarship schemes in the world.

The company came out on top of a competitive tender process to develop and manage the online application process for the Fulbright programmes operated in Italy, Australia and Ecuador.

The Fulbright Student Exchange Programme provides support which enables graduate students, young professionals, and artists to study and conduct research throughout the world.

The programme has operated internationally since 1948 and counts a combined 62 Nobel and Pulitzer Prize winners among its recipients, including theoretical physicist Peter Higgs, economist Joseph Stiglitz, novelist John Steinbeck and US politician Henry Kissinger.

The new deal between Mindaclient and the Fulbright organisations comes on top of existing contracts with the Programmes in Ireland, Portugal and Poland.

Mindaclient CEO Brian Kelly said: “Our appointment to design and implement the systems in Italy, Australia and Ecuador is a vote of confidence in our ability to develop systems to manage sensitive application processes for client organisations of all sizes in a range of international markets.”

In addition to its work with the Fulbright Organisation, Mindaclient works with the Naughton Foundation and Dermot Desmond’s University Scholarship Scheme and the Heritage Council.

“We are set to significantly increase the scale of our international footprint operations in the coming months and years and are hugely confident about the future,” said Kelly.
