Thermo Fisher’s €50,000 community grant boosts Cork initiatives

Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Cork site has awarded its €50,000 Community Partnership Grant to 26 charities and community groups in Cork’s lower harbour and beyond. The initiative, now in its fourth year, supports local organisations like Carrigaline Family Support Centre, Holy Wells NS, Cancer Connect, and more as part of Thermo Fisher’s Making a Difference programme for community wellbeing.

The grant supports a diverse range of charity groups such as Cycle Against Suicide, St Vincent de Paul, The Mercy University Hospital Foundation, and Cork Stroke Support, as well as STEM groups like WiSTEM Society UCC and STEM South West.

Wellness initiatives have also benefited from the funding this year including Cobh Animation Team, Covers of comfort, Homeless Drive, Carrigaline Men’s Shed and St. Luke’s Welcomes.
