Google introduces AI agents for ads and analytics
Google is rolling out new features based on artificial intelligence (AI) and AI agents for Google Ads and Google Analytics. With these, the company aims to help advertisers carry out tasks more quickly and extract insights from their data.
New dashboards will make it possible to view and analyse changes in Google Ads. A comparable dashboard for Google Analytics will follow soon. This will allow advertisers to assess campaign performance more effectively.
Google Ads and Google Analytics are getting AI dashboards that enable advertisers to create visual reports using simple natural-language prompts. The systems convert raw data into clear charts and other visualisations.
Each report also automatically generates a real time summary explaining why certain changes in the data are occurring. This should make it easier for advertisers to understand how their campaigns are performing and to justify why a new campaign is needed.
Google is also introducing new AI features based on Gemini, the multimodal generative AI assistant from Google DeepMind.
The features are designed to reduce repetitive tasks, simplify workflows and speed up campaign setup. In addition, they should help with data analysis, improving targeting, using ad budgets more efficiently and enhancing campaign performance.
Google Analytics will get, at the top of the homepage, an overview of key changes since the last time a user logged in. This might include, for example, seasonal spikes in sales or shifts in website traffic. As a result, marketers can more quickly determine which developments require attention and what follow-up steps are needed.
Google Ads will also get an AI-generated overview with personalised insights at the top of the homepage.
Google is also introducing a new benchmarking feature in Analytics that gives advertisers access to performance data. This information is linked to Ask Advisor, Google’s AI agent that was announced in May. This will enable advertisers to compare their ad performance with that of competitors.
Ask Advisor links, among other things, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Merchant Center and Google Marketing Platform to recommendations. In this way, marketers can turn insights into concrete strategies for their campaigns.
