Keep it simple: Citrix CEO Mark Templeton
Citrix reports a bumper harvest in its results for fiscal Q4 2010, with revenues up 17% year-on-year.
Revenue in the quarter hit $530 million (€386m), compared to $451 million (€328m) in Q4 2009.
For fiscal 2010 as a whole, reported revenues were $1.87 billion (€1.36), up 16% from $1.61bn (€1.17) in the previous year.
Observers note that the firm’s software-as-a-service arm grew 17% in 2010 to bring in 20% of overall revenue.
Cirix says its desktop virtualisation business saw a 16% rise in Q4, on the back of customer demand.
CEO Mark Templeton notes that customers want Citrix to simplify enterprise computing. “They want to embrace IT consumerisation, and they are ready to adopt more cloud services – all to transform IT to an on-demand service.”
Templeton said the the firm expected further leverage in the year ahead of its “unique market opportunity by broadening the reach of web collaboration, by enabling public and private clouds and driving mainstream adoption of desktop virtualisation.”
