ZAAG makes iFrogz acquisition

ZAGG has announced the acquisition of leading US mobile device company iFrogz for $104 million. The international distribution company, based at the Shannon Free Zone maintains that the acquisition will broaden ZAGG’s product offering and allow ZAGG to present a more complete accessory line to its customers.

Brian Packer, managing director of ZAAG International highlighted the importance of the deal for the future of ZAAG. Packer stated that, “the acquisition of iFrogz solidifies our position in Ireland and further enhances the commitment ZAGG International has made to the region regarding employment opportunities.”

Packer added that, “our office in Shannon will be responsible for the European logistics of this new entity as iFrogz staff based in Europe will now be reporting to us.”

The addition of iFrogz new product lines will complement the existing ZAAG portfolio, helping ZAAG in its objective of reaching a younger, more life-style oriented customer.

Congratulating ZAGG on the announcement Dr. Vincent Cunnane, chief executive of Shannon Development said that, “this acquisition will further strengthen ZAGG’s position in the marketplace and will have beneficial effects for their Irish operation at Shannon Free Zone. Shannon Development looks forward to continuing to work closely with this dynamic company as they grow their Shannon operation.”
