UPC Ireland increased its subscriber base by 13% in the third quarter of 2012, bringing its total number of subscriptions over phone, broadband and TV services to 969,200.
Compared to the same per Q3 2011 broadband subscriptions were up 22% to 294,300, phone subscriptions were up 55% to 223,400; and digital TV held firm at 384,000 subscriptions.
UPC increased the broadband speeds on offer to customers in Ireland this year, with packages now beginning at 50Mb/s rising to 150Mb/s. The company also entered the on-demand content space after striking deals with film studios and broadcasters, including RTE and TV3.
