Toshiba Portege Z830

Toshiba’s Portege Z830 comes with a high definition 13.3" non-glare screen with LED backlighting and 1366×768 resolution. There is a choice of Intel Core i3 or i5 processors, it supports up to 6Gb DDR3 RAM and comes with 128Gb SSD.

Connectivity comes courtesy of two USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, SD card reader, RGB Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Video chat is helped by a 1.3MP webcam and stereo speakers using enhanced with Dolby Advanced Audio 2. Toshiba promises a battery life up to eight hours and the whole package weighs 1.12kg.

HP Folio

HP’s Folio13 measures less than .7" thick, uses a 13.3" high definition BrightView display, weighs 1.49kg and promises up to 9.5 hours battery life.

The HP Folio13 includes Intel Rapid Start technology, including RJ-45 and USB 3.0, ports 128Gb of storage.

The ultrabook also includes an HP Imagepad for accurate multitouch gesture support, TrueVision HD webcam and Dolby Advanced Audio. Windows 7 comes as standard.

Acer Aspire S3

Acer’s Aspire S3 ultrabook comes in two variant using Intel Core 17 and i5 processors with 240Gb solid state drives.

The 13.3" high definition widescreen LED-backlit display features a 16:9 aspect ratio and 1366×768 resolution; Acer Green Instant On lets you resume your computing session in less than two seconds; is .51" thick and weighs 1.35kg.

Acer Hybrid Standby Technology provides up to 50 days of standby power and up to six hours of continuous usage.
