Big Red Book has announced the launch of its new cloud-based solution called Big Red Cloud. The accountancy software firm provides services to over 17 thousand SME’s in Ireland and the UK. Its new service is hosted on Windows Azure from Microsoft, and allows companies to build, deploy and manage applications and services. Twelve jobs are set to be created from the launch of the new service over the next 12 months.

Big Red Cloud allows customers to move all their accounts data to the cloud with the flexibility of adding unlimited users and free access for your accountant. A recent trial proved successful with 36% of participants converting to the cloud within one month.

"The application is designed to make your accounts even easier to manage and more mobile than ever," said Marc O’Dwyer, CEO, Big Red Book. "With the ability to login anywhere and on almost any device, the flexibility and accessibility that this product provides makes it more efficient and cost-effective for our customers to do business."

Big Red Book was identified by Microsoft as one of the highest potential start-ups in the world. The company is involved in BizSpark, a global programme to help software start-ups by giving them access to development tools, connecting them with industry leaders and providing marketing visibility.
