Microsoft has released a new software pack that promises to offer PC users better protection. The firm, which has been under pressure of late because of a number of security flaws in its products, has launched the pack in a bid to stop virus writers and malicious hackers exploiting so-called ‘holes’ in the company’s
software.

Windows XP Service Pack 2 includes all the latest security updates from the company. Additionally, the software establishes strong default security settings and adds new protection options that will help better safeguard computers from common security risks.

The new pack makes it easier to configure and manage security resources with more accessible and intuitive tools. It also includes updated support for new technologies such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and it comes with a host of new options for safer browsing.

Windows XP users can receive Service Pack 2 by simply switching on the Automatic Update feature on their operating systems and then downloading the software. Customers without a reliable Internet connection can able to order the software on a CD via the Microsoft website (www.microsoft.com).
