Intel leaps ahead

Life

9 January 2006

The famous ‘dropped e’ logo designed 37 years ago by company founders Robert Noyce and Gordon Moore, will be replaced with a more traditional look.

The ‘Intel Inside’ slogan used on PCs and advertising materials will be replaced with ‘Intel. Leap Ahead’.

The Intel name was designed to represent the company’s focus on integrated electronics but now Intel is focusing more on applications than pure technology. Other branding changes include a redesigned Centrino logo for the company’s wireless platform, and a new logo for its Viiv home entertainment centre platform.
