In a bid to encourage small firms to take their business online, Irish web hosting firm IE Internet plans to offer members of the Small Firms Association (SFA) free hosting and free.com domain registration for one year.
All SFA members are eligible to receive a domain name and IE Internet’s SOHO (Small Office, Home Office) plan, which is a tailored hosting package to suit small businesses. The plan comes with website hosting space, branded e-mail and virus protection. The
normal price for the package is €146 (excl VAT) per year. Pat Delaney, director of the SFA, welcomed the initiative by IE Internet as ‘an opportunity for SFA members to launch their online presence’. He added that ‘becoming part of the e-business economy is no longer a choice — it is a necessity.
For small businesses in particular it provides an opportunity to gain critical exposure in an increasingly competitive marketplace.’ SFA members can avail of the free plan by visiting www.ieinternet.com/freehosting
