Fiona O’Brien, Ireland country manager and EMEA business transformation director, Lenovo, has been awarded the Digital, Science & Technology award at the Image Business Woman of the Year Awards.

Now in its tenth year, the Image Businesswoman of the Year Awards champions women contributing to Ireland’s economy and the vital role they play within the Irish business community at home and abroad. The categories range from business to science, social entrepreneurship as well as Irish women working overseas.

This is the first year that Lenovo has been shortlisted for an award.

Lenovo is a $46 billion global Fortune 500 company and a leader in providing innovative consumer, commercial and enterprise technologies, based in Santry, Co. Dublin.

As country manager of Ireland, O’Brien led the initial formation following the acquisition of IBM’s PC division and now leads a multi-functional team. Her second role is focused on the change management strategy within the Europe, Middle East and Africa.

“Since setting up Lenovo’s Ireland entity in 2005, I have been extremely proud to be entrusted to run the business and establish a strong hold here in the Irish market,” said O’Brien. “These awards exemplify all that is positive about women in business and I am honoured to be recognised amongst such a prestigious shortlist of fellow business women.”
