Fineos & Mutual of Omaha

Solution will manage claims operations at $18.3 billion insurer

Dublin financial software firm Fineos has signed an agreement with Mutual of Omaha to implement its Fineos Claims solution. Mutual selected the solution to manage claims operations for its group employee benefits products, including disability and life policies.

The deal follows Mutual’s search for ways to handle the expected increase in claims volume without sacrificing customer service.

Fineos Claims presents information to claims managers and administrators in a comprehensive, easy-to-navigate system, eliminating the need to manage multiple applications or memorise complex codes. The solution is built to deliver rules-driven business process management (BPM) capabilities, which will allow Mutual of Omaha’s business users the flexibility to make changes or modify processes as their workflows evolve.

Fineos Claims will also help Mutual position itself for future growth. The solution is built on Fineos’ SOA platform. Its open design allows for the rapid introduction of new products and services and will enable the organisation to consolidate multiple lines of business onto a single platform, according to Fineos.

Fineos CEO Michael Kelly commented: “We are very pleased to add a reputable name like Mutual of Omaha to our expanding list of premier clients. This agreement is another example of how Fineos clients are using our innovative solutions to achieve operational excellence and enable cost-effective revenue growth.”

Founded in 1909, Mutual of Omaha manages financial assets of over $18.3 billion.

Fineos, set up in 1993, provides front-to-back core business solutions to streamline operations and optimise efficiency.
