Epson has recently revealed that it has developed a new range of single and multi-function printers targeted at small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs). As Epson launches its new ‘Engineered for Business’ strategy, the firm will be announcing its new series, designed specifically to offer high quality output, durability and cost and energy efficiency.

The new series of single-function printers and the WorkForce Pro WP-4500 series of multi-function printers offer an enhanced printing performance and cost savings. The double sided printing function and high yield cartridges offer substantial savings for SMEs. These products will be available in September 2011. Additional models featuring PDL support for complex IT environments, including PCL6, PCL5c and Adobe PostScript 3, are due later in the year.

Katrina Timmis, channel manager at Epson Ireland, maintains that Epson understands the printing needs of SMEs. Timmis remarked that, “We understand what businesses need: high-quality, reliable, functional, high-performance and cost-effective products. Businesses have previously had to compromise but, with WorkForce Pro, they can now have it all.”

Timmis added that, “the WorkForce Pro line-up is a seriously competitive business range: new name; new approach, and forms part of our Engineered for Business strategy, which is based on choice, performance, economy and ecology.”
