The chair of the Copyright Review Committee (CRC) Dr Eoin O’Dell, has confirmed a limited extension of time for submissions to the Committee. There has been a good response to the Committee’s wide-ranging consultation paper following requests from the public. Despite the original closing date for submissions being extended from 13 April to 31 May, the Committee has opted to extend the closing date to 29 June. Submissions accepted beyond 31 May will be accepted subject to approval on a case-by-case basis and submissions made by 31 May will be made available to the public on the final closing date.

The chair of the committee Dr Eoin O’Dell said: "We on the committee think that the opportunity to engage with the submissions which we have received in response to our consultation paper will ensure the widest possible engagement with all of the issues arising in this important process. It is always been our intention to post submissions on our website to encourage engagement, consultation and participation, and we look forward to receiving comments on the submissions."

An online questionnaire will be available only until Thursday 31 May. Thereafter, submissions which have specifically been granted an extension until close of business on Friday 29 June 2012, or responses to other submissions, should be made either by e-mail to copyrightreview@djei.ie or by post to Copyright Review, Room 517, Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Kildare Street, Dublin 2.
