CampusIT has announced that it has raised €1.2m in investment to support the launch of its new cloud based student interaction management product called CampusIT Interact. Consequently, the education and management systems provider will create 14 new jobs at its Dublin head office over the next two years, bringing its total number of employees to 45.

The investment which was awarded from multiple sources including BDO managed Davy BES fund and Enterprise Ireland, will allow CampusIT to continue the development of its student interaction software. Interact enables universities and colleges to transform complex and resource hungry back office activities into convenient and easy to use online and mobile services to connect students, academics and support staff. It is a web-based platform to speed and simplify student interactions, streamline administrative processes and reduce costs.

CampusIT has been experiencing significant growth over the last two years, revenues increased to €3.5 million in 2010 and are expected to stretch to €5 million by 2013, the growth has been attributed to entering new markets as well as being driven by the launch of this product.

Tony Sheridan, CEO, CampusIT is confident that Interact will prove to be a remarkable success among high education institutes. Sheridan commented that, “”We expect CampusIT Interact to gain traction because of the unique way it enables higher education customers to simplify their student interactions. Its value is realised when frontline staff can configure and deploy new online and mobile student services without the need for IT intervention or specialised training. The result is a faster time to market with more convenient services.”

Sheridan affirmed that the future looks bright for Interact adding that, “the value created and costs saved by this unique web based platform make this a very compelling product which we expect to spearhead a large part of our forecast international growth.”

CampusIT Interact is an online and mobile platform that allows business users to configure and deliver web-based student-centric services using simple-to-learn methods, or by editing pre-built applications from CampusIT. It provides a rich capability to leverage and integrate with existing applications and web apps like Google Maps or Google Calendar.
