Despite the fact that Apple hasn’t actually unveiled anything yet, there’s already a queue forming outside the Apple Store in New York as eager customers prepare for the release date of an as-yet unannounced iPhone (or two).
Apple is expected to show off two new iPhones – the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C – this evening but no details of the new handsets have been officially revealed. We don’t know how much the new iPhones will cost, what exactly their new features will be, and, most importantly for the queuers, when they’ll actually be available to buy.
Campers began queuing outside the Fifth Avenue Apple Store in New York on Friday, reported Mac Rumours. The first in line are two SellYourMac representatives, who are expecting to camp out in that same spot for two weeks.
Of course, it’s obvious that these two are queuing as part of a promotional stunt, but we’re sure it won’t be long before they’re joined by many other genuine Apple-lovers desperate to be one of the first people to get their hands on the new device.
On Friday, there were already two other people in the queue for a new iPhone: Joe and Brian from Brooklyn. They don’t appear to be camping as part of a promotional campaign, but it’s possible that they’ll decide to sell their spot. Some queuers have previously been given money to buy a new iPhone for someone, as well as the money to buy an iPhone for themselves.
