24-hour progammathon in Carlow

The first all Ireland RedEye 24 hour computer programming competition took place recently at the Institute of Carlow. The ‘programmathon’ which was sponsored by Dell, O2 and Microsoft, saw teams travelling from a number of colleges around the country to take battle against each other. In the team competition, UCD scooped the top prize, while Barry Kelly from Athlone Institute of Technology came first in the individual competition.
