Canon’s LV-7355 and LV-7350 multimedia projectors each contain a newly developed 1.5x wide-angle zoom lens, making them suitable for presentations in confined spaces.
The new lens enables users to project an image measuring 250cm diagonally from as close as 2.8m. With a 1.5x zoom ratio, the two new models are able to maintain 250cm images up to a distance of 4.2m, permitting users to achieve the image size they want from a wider range of projection distances.
These projectors also use Canon’s Turbo Bright System, which effectively uses orange light, normally eliminated by conventional LCD projectors, to boost brightness and electronically correct colour distortion. Using LCD panels fitted with a light gathering microlens, the high-end LV-7355 boasts boosted brightness of 2,200 ANSI lumens, and the mid-range LV-7350 delivers 1,800 ANSI lumens.
Image quality from a personal computer is improved by a DVI (Digital Visual Interface), which accepts a direct digital signal from personal computers and eliminates the former need for conversion to an analogue signal prior to display.
The projectors also have enhanced Digital Keystone correction which eliminates trapezoidal image distortion caused by projecting at an angle to the screen both horizontally and vertically. Output resolution is true XGA (1,024 x 768 pixels).
