T-Pro makes UK play with acquisition of BigHand Healthcare
AI-powered clinical documentation platform T-Pro has acquired BigHand Healthcare, a provider of workflow orchestration and optimisation solutions for the health sector. Financial terms of the deal were not revealed.
The acquisition will see all BigHand Healthcare employees transition to Dublin-based T-Pro, creating a 200-strong team dedicated to transforming clinical documentation across the healthcare sector. Following the deal T-Pro can count 120 NHS Trusts among its clients.
More health organisations are now set to benefit from T-Pro’s end-to-end optimisation capability, combining ambient voice technology with streamlined workflow optimisation, saving time for frontline clinicians and their teams, making them more productive.
Jonathan Larbey, CEO, T-Pro, said: “Bringing together T-Pro and BigHand Healthcare creates a stronger organisation that enables healthcare organisations to scale AI, improve productivity and reduce administrative burdens on frontline teams.
“The NHS, for example, is increasingly focused on how AI can be deployed safely and effectively within real clinical environments. We believe the successful adoption of AI in healthcare depends on deep workflow integration, operational reliability, governance and proven deployment capability across complex healthcare organisations.”
Numerous NHS Trusts and large private healthcare organisations are already using T-Pro, proven to deliver faster, more efficient care. Its Ambient Voice Technology captures live conversations, auto-identifies speakers and generates structured, coding-ready documentations in minutes, no typing required.
Offering a best-of-breed approach, not tied to any specific electronic healthcare record system, T-Pro solutions will seamlessly integrate with existing workflows.
Sam Toulson, CEO, BigHand, said: “BigHand Healthcare has built strong, trusted relationships with clients over many years. We believe that BigHand Healthcare joining T-Pro is an exciting step for the clients and the patients they serve. By bringing together our complementary strengths, customers will have access to greater capability while continuing to be supported by the teams they know and trust.”
T-Pro’s acquisition of BigHand Healthcare comes as health sector organisations are under increasing pressure to improve productivity, reduce care backlogs and make better use of constrained resources. The acquisition will lead to faster turnaround times and better resource use at more healthcare organisations, while providing greater insight into performance.
