Steria and Cable & Wireless announce partnership

Steria and Cable & Wireless have announced a partnership under which they will bid for public sector contracts in Northern Ireland together.

Steria is a pan-European services provider delivering ICT solutions, systems integration, managed services and consulting to both public and private sector organisations. It has a turnover of €1.1 billion and over 10,000 staff and operates in 15 locations throughout Europe, including the rapidly expanding Northern Ireland business. Steria’s major NI customers are within Criminal Justice, Health and Central Government.

One of the world’s largest communications companies, Cable & Wireless has operated in Northern Ireland for over 25 years in both the public and private sectors. Its existing clients include Foyle Trust and Lagan Construction.

Peter Russell, sector manager for Steria in Ireland said that together, the two companies can provide a one-stop shop to the public sector in Northern Ireland.

Noreen O’Hare, Irish country manager, Cable & Wireless said the company had recognised a “genuine need” in the public sector for more competitively priced and innovative solutions, backed-up with high levels of customer service.
