O2 network suffers three-hour glitch

O2 customers took to the company’s Facebook page last night to complain about a service outage that left them unable to make or send calls and texts. The company’s website was also unavailable for a three-hour period between 9pm and 12am.

An official statement from O2 released this morning read: "The issue predominantly affected prepay customers. It was identified and resolved as a matter of urgency and services were restored shortly after midnight. O2 would like to apologise to customers impacted by the disruption."
