The International Association of Software Architects (IASA) in Ireland has formed a strategic partnership with the Irish Computer Society (ICS).
The new partnership will see the IT Architects Network of the ICS will merge with the Irish Chapter of IASA to form a single IT architects community. IT architects in Ireland will now have access to an internationally recognised profession backed by certification and education programmes offered by IASA Ireland through the Irish Computer Society’s training facilities in Ballsbridge.

Since Gar MacCriosta introduced the chapter back in 2009 we have been building the IT architect community and a capability to deliver the IASA Education and Certification programmes here in Ireland. Partnering with ICS provides a strategic platform to ensure that the services to support the community and profession reach all sectors of the IT industry in Ireland. It truly is an exciting time and opportunity."
IASA supports the development of the IT architecture profession. The objective of this new partnership, according to IASA Ireland, is to ensure that IT architects, irrespective of specialisation, have the skills and capabilities needed to grow professionally and deliver value to their business.

The ICS and IASA Ireland will work together to achieve plans for growth and development of the Architecture community in Ireland through knowledge sharing, training, mentoring, certification and membership in this fast growing area.
