This year’s Irish Oracle conference and exhibition, which is being held in association with the Oracle User Group (OUG), will take place in Croke Park Conference Centre, Dublin 3, on Wednesday 22 March. The day will open with a welcome address by Paul O’Riordan, managing director of Oracle Ireland, and Debra Lilley, deputy chair, OUG. Andrew Sutherland will follow with a session entitled “SOA/BAM/Grid and the quest for the IT Holy Grail”. The keynote address will be given by Ken Jacobs, vice president, product strategy, server technologies division, Oracle.
The rest of the main conference will be divided into four streams: Database, Fusion Middleware and two Fusion Applications streams. Divided into 45 minute slots, the sessions will include customer case studies, technical presentations, partner updates, product information and ‘guru panel sessions’. Running alongside these will be three 90-minute pre-book mini-lessons: Plan It – Advanced Supply Chain Planning Workbench; Analyse This: Analytical Templates in Discover Plus; and Grid Computing with RAC Services. In addition, delegates can register for a free consulting clinic with an Oracle consultant. These sessions will last for 20 minutes and can cover any Oracle related topic.
