IDC conference to look at business continuity and security issues

The next IDC conference in Dublin, which place in the Guinness Storehouse on Thursday 14 September, will focus on business continuity, storage and security.

It will look at recent developments in business continuity and highlight the most crucial aspects of both it and security in terms of infrastructure, storage and software.

The all-day event will include a number of keynote sessions, which will focus on topics such as proactive threat management, managed security services, maximising storage assets, and data centres. The event will also include a number of case study presentations. In his presentation, Martin Hingley, vice president of IDC’s European Systems Group, will talk about the fact that business continuity is no longer being viewed as a necessary burden, but is actually now being seen as an opportunity to increase productivity, retain customers and gain revenue.
