Business end: IBM says the V7000 incorporates technology normally found only in enterprise-class systems

The IBM Storwize V7000 system has been launched Ireland by distributor Sharptext. The storage is aimed at mid-sized firms but incorporates technology normally found only in enterprise-class systems, says the maker.

At the product’s Irish launch, Sharptext’s Cathal Clarke hailed the V7000 system has heralding “a new era for storage in Ireland”, and he highlighted the system’s cost efficiency.

He added: “The system works with your existing data, and is scalable using a modular design so capacity, and functionality can be easily added over time.”
