It seems that the age of Open Source Software (OSS) is dawning upon us. Businesses and organisations in Ireland, the United Kingdom and the United States are now committing to clear strategies and policies for open source software development. According to the results of Accenture’s OSS survey, in excess of two thirds of organisations (69%) anticipate investment in OSS in 2010, with more than a third (38%) expecting to migrate mission-critical software to open source in the next twelve months.
