Over the last four years, we’ve consistently grown the programme offering graduates the chance to experience a range of integral areas of our business. This year, we have 20 openings across our commercial rotation programme and nine within our technology programmes including data, infrastructure, security, and platform development.

Our commercial programme
Our commercial scheme gives you the chance to explore what drives Paddy Power Betfair. From generating insights into our 5 million customers to developing products at the cutting edge of the industry.

You could be delivering pricing and risk management, working on commercial negotiations and developing new business. You can expect some serious development over the 18-month rotation programme and you’ll soon understand what Paddy Power Betfair is all about. Different brands. Different teams. Different challenges.

Our technology programme
We design and engineer new products and technology for millions of customers. We support high-volume, real-time trading applications and mission critical websites all across the world. We live stream 100,000 sporting events per year. Like Google and eBay, we’re members of the API billionaires club. We process 100 million betting transactions through our exchange every day, and monitor 100,000 data points a second.

Where are our graduates now?
Our great retention rate means that we’ve got some fantastic success stories. Over the last two full graduate cycles (2014 and 2015) we’ve retained just under 80% of the graduates that joined our programmes. As mentioned, this has resulted in some great success stories highlighting the incredible opportunities available. Our director of analytics & insights (and one of our key grad programme sponsors), joined the programme in 2008 along with our digital director. It doesn’t stop there, our head of sportsbook marketing was part of our 2010 intake as well as our European commercial manager. As the programme has grown, we’ve had more and more grads find themselves in exciting and challenging careers from product managers to business analysts, developers to marketing managers and many more.

Our learning philosophy puts you in the driving seat of your career by giving you the tools, guidance and opportunities to be successful. Whether it’s through on the job experience, e-learning (LinkedIn Learning), exposure to specialists or external courses. Not only that but every grad will get access to our bespoke Game Plan development tool. We encourage staff to up their game and own their career. We designed Game Plan to help them take control of their career and drive their own development.

Using the tool, they plan their next move and decide how they’ll get there. You just need to bring the drive, determination and a strong vision for your future.

Ministry of fun
It’s pretty non-stop at Paddy Power Betfair but that doesn’t mean work, work, work… A number of our previous graduates have joined our Ministry of Fun. These are some seriously social people from across the business who come up with plans to make working here as lively as possible. From installing dartboards and organising our Office Olympic Games and charity events, to adding the odd Pilates class or pool tournament, these guys make sure there’s something fun going on for everyone.
