Wriggle Learning is to create 90 new roles across customer support, tech support, teaching, sales and marketing. The positions are expected to be filled by 2027.

Wriggle has seen significant growth and projects €50 million in annual revenue by 2027 as schools accelerate digital transformation under the Government’s Senior Cycle Reform – a multi-year overhaul introducing new subjects, digital portfolios, and continuous assessment for over 400,000 post-primary students.

Founded in 2012, Wriggle Learning was the first company in Ireland to deliver a 1:1 student device programme, where every student has their own managed learning device. Today, the edtech firm holds an 80% share of the national 1:1 market, working with more than 300 schools and supporting over 150,000 students and teachers nationwide.

The company plans to expand to more than 400 post-primary schools running full 1:1 programmes, supporting 600,000 student devices, and reaching €50 million in annual revenue by 2027.

“The senior cycle reform will redefine how Irish students learn and are assessed, and 1:1 learning is the foundation of that change,” said Paul Dooley, CEO of Wriggle Learning. “Our mission is to make sure every school is ready.”

Wriggle Learning currently employs 50 staff, supporting post-primary, primary, and higher education institutions across the country. It remains the only Irish provider partnered with Apple, Google, and Microsoft, as well as Lenovo and ASUS, giving schools access to trusted, cost-effective, and secure technology. The company now manages over 250,000 devices nationwide, all built for safety and focus in the classroom.

“Schools want confidence, not complexity,” said Simon Close, chief revenue officer. “We help principals and teachers make technology work for learning, safely and simply.”

Beyond technology, the company focuses heavily on teacher development and classroom impact. Led by chief learning officer Sean Glynn, Wriggle’s online learning platform, Wriggle Connect, provides day-to-day training and resources for teachers, parents, and students. More than 40,000 teachers have been trained to date.
