Stephen Moffatt, business analytics and cloud computing leader, IT Architect, IBM Ireland, will use IBM’s experience in the 2012-2013 season at the Tennis Grand Slam tournaments to explain how cloud, analytical and big data technologies are used to maximise fan’s enjoyment and players’ performance. He will relate lessons learned from European and American rugby, football and hockey teams’ use of analytical and big data principles to the imperatives for Irish Enterprise in 2013:?innovating in order to survive and prosper.
David Garrett, IT operations manager, Irish Stock Exchange, from the perspective of a site where cloud operations are mission-critical, will provide an insight into the benefits of the virtualisation and cloud strategies approach used in the ISE and also the steps being taken in addressing Business Intelligence and Big Data.
TechFire V will take place on 19 June at the Gibson Hotel, Dublin. A light breakfast will be served from 07:30, with proceedings starting at 08:00 sharp. The event will close at 10:00, but all expertise will remain in the room for one to one opportunities until 10:30.
