BH Consulting CEO Brian Honan has been shortlisted in the Information Security Person of the Year category at this year’s SC Magazine Awards. The winners will be announced at the SC magazine Awards Europe 2013 which takes place on 23 April at The London Hilton on Park Lane, London.
The SC Magazine Awards honour professionals working to secure enterprises, vendors and organisations selected by a panel of judges from the senior ranks of the information security profession.
The recipient the runners-up trophy for his consultancy last year, Honan has been recognised for his work for the Irish Computer Emergency Readiness Team, IRISSCERT, and his growing reputation as an expert in information security.
Commenting on his selection, Honan said: "It is a great honour to be selected for the final again this year and I see this as a reflection as to how vibrant the information security industry is here in Ireland. As a country we have a wealth of talent working in the security field and we are quickly earning a reputation as a centre of excellence. Hopefully, we can build on this success and bring more recognition to the talented individuals and exciting start-ups in the field."
