10gen CEO opens new EMEA headquarters in Dublin

Software company 10gen has opened its EMEA headquarters at Latin Hall in Dublin. 10gen expects to create of 60 jobs in engineering, sales, human resources, legal and finance departments with the support of the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland. 10gen is best known for its NoSQL database software MongoDB.

The Latin Hall office will house up to 48 staff and marks the first stage of the company’s expansion.

"Our Dublin expansion is a true testament to the increasing adoption of MongoDB, and the growing demand for cutting edge technical skills in the region," said Max Schireson, CEO of 10gen. "Our EMEA headquarters is very close to leading educational institutions which makes it an ideal location to recruit young, talented graduates who are serious about building a career in technology."

10gen’s customers include CERN, MetLife, CompareTheMarket, Disney, McAfee, MTV, O2, Orange Digital Services, Salesforce.com and Telefonica. The company has funding from Red Hat, and Intel.
