Version 1 acquires PM Centrix

More customers: Version 1’s Justin Keatinge

Irish IT consulting and services company Version 1 has acquired PM Group’s IT services company, PM Centrix. The acquisition raises Version 1’s customer base to 220 and lifts staff numbers to 200.

Details of the acquisition were not revealed.Version 1 says it expects to create 100 jobs over the next three years across its offices in Dublin, Belfast, and Cork. Projected revenues in this timeframe are around €30 million.

MD Justin Keatinge says: “We have performed very strongly in 2010. Projected turnover is €17.5 million and operating profit has risen by close to 50%. We have a strong deals pipeline and over 20 open positions, as well as a number of graduate opportunities.”

He added: “We have grown steadily since our inception in 1996 and believe that Version 1 is entering a period of renewed growth and expansion.”

He said the PM Centrix deal would strengthen the firm’s expertise in Microsoft technology, particularly SharePoint.

The deal merges the capability and expertise of two Microsoft Gold Certified Partners and gives Version 1 the largest Microsoft practice in the country, said Keatinge.
