Veeam Software has launched the Veeam Availability Suite, an integrated solution to ensure that data and applications are always accessible whenever and wherever they are needed.
The Availability Suite integrates the Veeam Backup & Replication v8 and Veeam ONE solutions into a single management platform for data centres.
“The modern business cycle is no longer confined to five days a week, eight hours a day,” said Ratmir Timashev, CEO of Veeam. “IT organisations must make data and applications available to all stakeholders every minute of every day.
“Veeam’s Availability Suite provides key enabling technology that transforms the always-on business from a mere dream for most organisations into a reality.”
New features in the Veeam Availability Suite v8 include NetApp Integration for quicker back-ups, EMC Data Domain Boost Integration for more efficient back-ups, and AES 256 bit encryption for end-to-end VM backups.
In addition, Veeam Explorer for Microsoft SQL allows users to quickly restore individual databases back to original or new locations, and Veeam Explorer for Active Directory enables IT to easily find and recover deleted users and groups.
There are also data replication enhancements and monitoring and reporting improvements in the package, which will be available from this summer.
