Kobo Aura HD
Kobo has been chipping away at the e-reader for a while now with its selection of mid-priced devices, but it looks like the Aura HD is going to really put it up to Amazon’s Kindle and its ilk.
The Aura HD’s E-Ink Pearl display measures 6.8" with 1440×1080 pixels – the highest resolution display of any e-reader on the market.
Kobo now claims "up to two months" of life, based on half an hour of reading per day – and extra storage, with 4Gb of on-board memory versus older models’ 2Gb. Like other Kobo e-readers, onboard storage can be complemented with a microSD card of up to 32Gb.
As is standard on most other e-readers at the premium end of the market, the Aura HD has built-in Wi-Fi (but no 3G), and doesn’t need a computer to access the Kobo Store – the company’s in-house content library of over 3.2 million books, magazines, and newspaper subscriptions.

Logitech Harmony
Able to control up to 15 devices from a choice of 5,000 brands, the Logitech Harmony Ultimate is a fully featured remote with a 2.4" colour touch screen that enables no-look control over television programs, movies and music by using simple swipes and taps.
It also introduces the ability to program Philips Hue lighting systems with entertainment activities allowing you to adjust the room’s lighting as easily as changing the volume of your television. Other exclusive features include vibration feedback, tilt sensors and buttons that can be programmed for both short and long presses, doubling the available functions.

Nokia Lumia 520
The latest in Nokia’s Lumia range of Windows Phone handsets, the 520 features a 4" 800×480 WVGA display, 1GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor, 512Mb RAM, 8Gb internal storage (expandable to 64Gb via a Micro SD card) and free cloud storage of 7Gb. Wireless connectivity comes via Bluetooth and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi.
