Triangle becomes first Pivotal partner in Ireland

Triangle Computer Services has become the first Pivotal partner in Ireland.

Pivotal is made up of EMC’s data analytics division, Greenplum, and its Pivotal Labs group along with VMware’s vFabric, SpringSource and Gemstone units.

Included in the new company are VMware’s data analytics company, Cetas, and cloud computing platform CloudFoundry. Pivotal is building a new platform, setting the standard for Enterprise platform-as-a-service (PaaS) which will enable customers to build applications.

Russell Acton, VP for EMEA, Pivotal, said: “Triangle is a key partner for Pivotal in the Irish market. They are a vendor well positioned to be at the forefront of a strategic shift in new data fabrics and next generation platform-as-a-service.
