Stripe opened its new Dublin headquarters at One Wilton Park in Dublin.

The new dual headquarters will house expanding teams in engineering, product, operations, and sales, and bolster Stripe’s efforts to help its users adopt frontier technology – including AI and stablecoins – to grow faster. It features large event spaces designed to bring together founders and business leaders based in Ireland and across Europe.

The payments processor serves 70,000 Irish businesses and solopreneurs, organisations and large enterprises, with 2,000 new Irish users joining every month.

Despite increasing barriers to international trade, Irish businesses that use Stripe remain staunchly global. Over two-thirds (70%) of Irish users are selling internationally, and they have collectively grown their cross-border payment volume by 37% over the last 12 months.

“Stripe is proudly Irish and we’re thrilled to double down on our global operations here,” said Stripe cofounder John Collison. “The Irish internet economy is sucking diesel, and this new headquarters will help us support growth for businesses all across Europe.”

“Stripe’s decision to triple the size of its headquarters in Dublin marks a significant milestone for Ireland’s thriving internet economy,” said IDA Ireland chief executive Michael Lohan. “This investment reinforces Ireland’s position as a leading destination for global technology companies and signals strong confidence in our talented workforce and innovative business environment. As Stripe continues to empower thousands of Irish entrepreneurs and companies to compete on the world stage, IDA Ireland is proud to support their growth and we welcome this further commitment to Ireland’s digital future.”

Beyond its core business, Stripe continues to invest in programmes to accelerate scientific and technological progress in Ireland. These include the Stripe Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition, the youth accelerator Patch, the Irish Maths Olympiad, and the University of Limerick’s Immersive Software Engineering course.
