E-mail and network security vendor PineApp is moving into the Irish market with the appointment of Renaissance as its first Irish distributor. Renaissance will sell and support PineApp’s products aimed at the SME market, including its flagship Mail-SeCure e-mail security and management solution. Also covered are the Surf-Secure and and SeCure-SoHo appliances.
PineApp’s Mail-Secure is a complete perimeter security appliance that protects against targeted threats such as mail-bombing, DoES (denial of e-mail service, aka EDoS) and backscatter, as well as non-targeted threats including viruses, spam, worms and Trojan-horses.
Surf-SeCure provides a real-time filtering system for internet-based threats and enforces an organisation’s surfing policy; while Secure-Soho is an all-in-one network security solution for small businesses offering e-mail and web security together with an SMTP mail server.
Renaissance director Michael Conway noted: “SMEs are struggling to deliver advanced IT solutions to keep pace with growing business demands, while facing increased risks from malicious attacks and more sophisticated spam.” He added: “PineApp has addressed these challenges by offering an advanced range of simple, affordable and practical appliances that provide all-in-one protection as well as full e-mail and web management to increase productivity and deliver greater user flexibility.”
