OpenAI expands Dublin presence with 250 new roles
OpenAI is to add 250 jobs to its Dublin operation. The company made the announcement today as it also revealed plans for a new 88,000sq ft head office at IPUT Real Estate’s Tropical Fruit Warehouse in Dublin’s docklands.
With over 100 employees here currently, over the next two years OpenAI will add 250 new roles across multiple functions, including sales, engineering, user operations, human resources, finance, privacy, legal.
Since OpenAI first announced that it would locate its EU HQ in Ireland in 2023, the number of ChatGPT users has grown to over 1 million locally. Irish businesses ranging from heritage retailer Lenehans Hardware to global AI orchestration platform Tines use OpenAI technology, whether it’s to code, develop new products, grow revenue or enhance customer service.
Today’s further investment will also ensure the company can build on its ‘OpenAI for Ireland’ programme, focused on helping young builders, start-ups and SMEs gain skills and experience in AI.
