Nostra wins on the double at Tech Excellence Awards 2025
Kevin O’Loughlin of Nostra (pictured) took home the person of the year award at the Tech Excellence Awards in association with IP Telecom, held at the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire.
For more than 25 years the Tech Excellence Awards has celebrated achievement in the IT sector, from multinationals to local success stories.
“Kevin O’Loughlin has been a leading voice in the Irish tech industry, sharing his personal and entrepreneurial journey across national media,” said Billy Huggard, operations director of Tech Excellence Awards organiser Mediateam.
“From humble beginnings with just three founders, Nostra has grown to a 350-strong team over 19 years, becoming one of Ireland’s most successful and fast-growing managed IT services providers.”
Nostra also claimed the award for best place to work.
Auxilion took the award for company of the year for its significant achievements in the past year and its consistent drive for improvement. The award was accepted by CEO Patrick Jordan.
The lifetime achievement award went to Brian Honan for his contribution to the cyber security sector at home and abroad.
“These Awards honor and celebrate the individuals and companies navigating a constantly evolving competitive landscape,” said Huggard. “Winners are pioneers and leaders who set new standards, inspiring others to achieve their highest potential.”
Shena Brien, CEO of title sponsor IP Telecom, said: “IP Telecom is delighted, once again as title sponsor, to congratulate all those who were nominated for the Tech Excellence Awards – and especially to congratulate the well-deserved winners.
“Behind each nomination is a story of innovation, project delivery, individual or team brilliance – all of which deliver real results for our customers. Through sharing these stories and honouring those behind each, our knowledge-based industry learns more from each other, allowing us all to innovate and deliver leading-edge solutions.”
The Tech Excellence Awards are decided by an independent panel of judges representing industry and academia.
