Reformed file sharing service Napster has returned to Ireland in the form of a subscription-based music streaming service.
Boasting a catalogue of 20 million songs, Napster will offer playlists, featured artists and editorial content in the Napster Music Guide to help users discover new music. The service also offers inside tips, live sessions and exclusive artist interviews.
In addition to Ireland, Napster launches in 13 other countries across Europe. The service is now available to music fans in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and The Netherlands.
Napster is accessible through smart TVs, home entertainment and multi-room systems.
Subscriptions will cost €9.95 per month, putting it on a par with Spotify.
