Minister for Research and Innovation Seán Sherlock has announced the latest "Building a Business on Your Ideas" seminar will take place in Cork Institute of Technology on Thursday 26 January 2012.

Aimed at SMBs, entrepreneurs and inventors, this free seminar is organised by the Patents Office, in co-operation with The Enterprise Europe Network, Enterprise Ireland, County Enterprise Boards, and the local Institute of Technology.

Minister Sherlock said: "These seminars provide a valuable source of information for those businesses and individuals who either wish to turn their ideas into businesses or to grow their existing businesses.

"The seminars are government-sponsored and aim to inform businesses, inventors and innovators of the supports available to them, and I would encourage them all to avail of this opportunity."

The seminars will focus on how business should be aware of and can exploit the value of Intellectual property (patents, trade marks, designs and copyright); and what support structures are available for SMBs and start-ups.

Admission to the seminar is free but pre-booking is essential. Places can be reserved online and further information on the seminar series can be found here.
