Piece of cake! Microsoft’s PivotViewer enhances venue searches

Wedding planning website Hitched.co.uk has teamed up with Microsoft to use the new Silverlight PivotViewer software to enhance Hitched’s wedding venue search facilities – making it the first commercial implementation of Microsoft Silverlight PivotViewer.

Silverlight PivotViewer ensures the websites data can be handled in the most engaging way. Choosing a wedding venue is a complex process of short-listing potential locations by only selecting the options that offer facilities matching the planners’ requirements.

Making the best choice of venue is important because its cost can swallow as much as 50% of the budget.

Hitched MD Dean Yardley notes: “Since launching in 1997, our core purpose has always been to make wedding planning easier by using the latest web technology. By using PivotViewer on our site, wedding planners can easily manipulate our extensive venues database and search according to their requirements.
