Lenovo is to become title sponsor of the unique GAA Skills Hubs aimed at children aged between 13-15. The Hubs will run in high quality venues across the country from June to August.

As part of Lenovo’s sponsorship, participants will have the chance to win an Ideapad at each Skills Hub and qualify for a Best of the Best competition in September. Lenovo will also roll out a nationwide affinity scheme for all GAA members offering significant discounts across a wide range of PC’s and mobile internet devices.

The Hubs will give children an insight into the life of an intercounty player that will include conditioned games, skills development, mental preparation, sports nutrition and athletic development and will be led by players including Bernard Brogan (Dublin football), Conor Lehane (Cork hurling), Deirdre Murphy (Clare camogie) an Cliodhna O’ Connor (Dublin ladies football).

Fiona O’Brien, country manager, Lenovo Ireland, said: “We are privileged to align ourselves with such a unique and community based organisation as the GAA/GPA on these exciting and innovative Skills Hubs for the summer of 2014 and beyond.”

Barry Cahill, business development manager of GAA/GPA, said: “It is wonderful to see a global brand such as Lenovo seeking to collaborate with the GAA and again reinforces the appeal and marketability of both our games and our players. We have exciting plans to develop the partnership over the coming years and I think the affinity scheme offers a great opportunity for GAA members to avail of discounts on market leading hardware.”
