Blogging has infiltrated every layer of the internet and media, providing a voice to millions and a vital tool for media outlets. Now the first international blogging clinic is due to be held on 29 June in Portlaoise, designed to soothe the woes of the troubled blogger.
Recent statistics have revealed the extent that the world has been swept by storm, the statistics detail that not only is blogging a relatively cheap hobby it is also a viable way of earning a living. The research has shown that 11% of bloggers rely on blogging for their primary source of income, writing for an average of 3.5 blogs each. However, technology media website technorati.com has found that the majority of bloggers are male between the ages of 18 and 44, who on average have been blogging for two years.
Hosted at The Heritage Hotel in Portlaoise, the clinic will be providing an expert panel of bloggers to answer questions on a range of blogging topics from the technical to the creative side. A video link will be enabling thousands of bloggers across the world to be attending virtually and to submit questions to the panel.
Expert panellist and professional blogger Marie Ennis-O’Connor is confident that the clinic will provide advice and confidence to thousands of committed or aspiring bloggers. Ennis-O’Connor remarked that building a successful blog is no mean feat. She said that, “building a successful blog takes know-how, strategy and effort. Having navigated my way through the early days of blogging myself, I know just how much hard work this can be.
