Centrepiece of Sharptext’s recently hosted Digital Living trade show was a large room divided into areas depicting a living room, bedroom, dining room and kitchen. Each area featured technologies that are fast becoming commonplace in the home, from a media centre PC and an LCD television in the living room, to streaming audio and wireless web access in the kitchen.
Also on show at Sharptext’s showroom facilities in Ballymount, Dublin, was a wide range of products from the leading manufacturers, including wireless connectivity products, desktops, notebooks, peripherals, printers, headsets, MP3 players and TVs.
Speaking at the show, Sharptext’s John Cooke said: “The much-talked-about convergence of IT and AV products has happened – and it’s here to see in action. As consumers become more sophisticated in their requirements, we must be ready to respond with offerings to make choosing easier, such as complete offerings that bundle compatible products together.”
