Oops! Now there’s an easy way back

Diskeeper Corporation has released its Emergency Undelete file recovery software as a stand-alone product. It was originally available only as part of the full Undelete data recovery software package.

The program enables the recovery of files accidentally deleted.

Diskeeper’s Naveen Louis said: “Emergency Undelete can be extremely useful for recovering files accidentally lost through a number of ways, such as: transferring data from your SD card; pressing shift delete; files lost on USB sticks due to improper removal; recycle bin disabled for some reason, or sometimes even the miraculously disappearing file!”

Diskeeper says Emergency Undelete can be used to recover any file, as well as its respective folder.

The firm recommends that the recovery program be run directly from a CD-ROM or USB drive because installing software on the hard drive can overwrite the deleted files that the user wants to rescue.
