CWSI has been appointed as an Irish Partner for Samsung’s Android security solution, Knox.

Gary Twohig, general manager, Samsung IT & Mobile Ireland, said: “Samsung Knox is a US Department of Defence certified software which acts as a device control within the hardware that runs even deeper than the Android operating system. Having worked with CWSI on previous projects we are very pleased to announce CWSI as a Samsung Knox Partner in Ireland.

“Like Samsung, CWSI are committed to maintaining technical and market leadership, they have a proven track record and are uniquely equipped to address business mobile security and the evolving challenges in the BYOD movement.”

Ronan Murphy, Managing Director, CWSI, added: “Protection against mobile threats is essential in any workplace, especially a BYOD workplace.

“The way that employees work on and use their devices has changed dramatically over the past few years. The security stakes are now higher. Samsung Knox will keep devices, networks and infrastructure safe from mobile threats and protect corporate devices, plus the sensitive data they carry. This enhanced relationship with Samsung Knox forms part of our strategic programme to develop partnerships with market-leading IT mobile security companies for the benefit of our clients.”

With the increasing use of smartphones in businesses, Samsung Knox addresses the mobile security needs of enterprise IT without invading the privacy of its employees.
